Sony ZEISS 55MM F1 8 AUTO FOCUS MOTOR RATTLE FIX

The Sony Zeiss 55mm f1.8 has a well known defect with its auto focus motor to the focus element. See here: My brother’s Sony 55 f1.8 has the dreaded rattle during focusing and inaccurate focusing. I took it apart and sure enough, the glue is no longer holding the focus lens element to the EM coil. If you can replace an iPHONE 6 battery you can fix it with two parts 5 minute epoxy (JB Weld clear). BTW this lens for all of its technical faults (chromatic aberration and corner softness) has a very compelling image due to its color and contrast. I have the 50GM f1.2 and the 50 f2.5 and this by far is my favorite 80% of the time. I only use the 50GM f1.2 for that special bokeh effects. The 50 f2.5 is too clinical and doesn’t
