Claude-Michel Schönberg - Quinze Ans (Live) • TopPop

This performance was taped at the annual Dutch television show AVRO Platen Gala, 13 October 1984 recorded live in the Ahoy Hall, Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Born in 1944 to Hungarian parents, Claude-Michel Schönberg began his career in France as a singer, writer and producer of pop songs. In collaboration with Alain Boublil, he is the book co-writer and the composer of “La Révolution Française”, “Les Misérables”, “Miss Saigon” and “The Pirate Queen”. In 2001, he composed his first ballet score, “Wuthering Heights”, which was created by the Northern Ballet in 2002. A noteworthy deviation in Schönberg’s career occurred in 2011 when he created the musical score for the ballet Cleopatra for the Northern Ballet. Schönberg’s talent also reached the world of film when he was nominated for Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards and the Academy Awards in 2012 for “Suddenly“ from the film adaptation of “Les Misérables”, the musical movie. Throughout his illustrious career, Claude-Michel Schönberg has garnered numerous awards, including the Golden Globe, Grammy, and an honorary New York Pops gala concert at Carnegie Hall in recognition of his 40-year collaboration with Alain Boublil. music videos ❯ More TopPop?
