Tremors from Albany to Perth! The strongest earthquake in Western Australia in recent years!

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Western Australia early Sunday morning. Tremors occurred at 5:34 am local time, at a depth of 5 kilometers. This is the largest seismic event in Western Australia in recent years. The epicenter was about 150 kilometers north of Albany on the south coast of the state. The earthquake was felt even in Perth, located at a distance of more than 300 kilometers from the epicenter. There was no tsunami threat for Australia.
