Can I Get Over After two ROUGH Cutz in a row it’s time for a new artist only release on ROUGH LIMITED. The new ROUGHLTD007 is a four track EP full of raw house cuts from Tobi Danton (Rough Limited). Enjoy! Opening the EP is ‘Dope Place’, laid out over seven and a half minutes with robust rhythms, choppy pad samples and spoken word vocal samples. ‘NYC Days’ follows and delves a little deeper via ethereal swelling pads, wandering electric piano licks and smooth dubby chords running alongside pacey drums and sporadic vocal lines. Opening the flip is ‘Beautiful Body’ which flips the focus over to a heady percussive drive, delayed chord stabs and soft pad lines before ‘Can I Get Over’ drops the tempo and closes the release on a low-slung tip, bringing acidic bass hits, sweeping arpeggios and billowing atmospherics into the limelight.
