Vat Phou Temple a World Heritage site Champasak @Haliscelife

Today we visited the Vat Phou temple. Even though it was a tiring day for me, it was worth going to this Temple and seeing it. Luckily, I came across a group of Monks and had the opportunity to locate the temple with them and with the guide. Let me first give you the official information about the Temple, and then let’s watch it together. The unique layout of Khmer architecture found at Vat Phou earned it the UNESCO World Heritage label in 2001, making it one of the highlights of any visit to Southern Laos. Although it is a small site compared to Angkor Wat, climbing the stairs of Vat Phou under the shade of frangipani trees and looking at a beautiful view adds a mystical atmosphere to the site and makes it worth visiting.
