The couple, who are to be married at the 17th century castle in County Monaghan on Tuesday, stood at the heavily guarded gates of the estate as cameras flashed and journalists from around the world jostled for position. McCartney and Mills thanked people for all the support they had received and joked that although everyone knew they were getting married, it was still a big secret. The couple posed outside Castle Leslie in Glaslough, County Monaghan where they are to be married on Tuesday. A giant marquee was erected next to the lake and a dance floor constructed at the water’s edge. Two more marquees were set up where there will be music and entertainment for the 300 guests and lighting effects adorn the trees. And a covered walkway was built between the marquees and the chapel where the couple will wed. Despite being a divorcee Ms Mills can marry at the church under Church of Ireland rules. A local priest will conduct the ceremony. Celebrities expected to attend will include including Eric Clapton, former Beatle Ringo Starr and John Eastman - brother of Sir Paul’s late wife Linda. Sir Paul’s children, Stella, James, Mary and stepdaughter Heather, will also attend. Find out more about AP Archive: Twitter: Facebook: Instagram: You can license this story through AP Archive:
