A LIVE performance I gave of one of my favorite pieces of all time. “The Nymphs Lament“ (Lamento della Ninfa) by Monteverdi is a deeply moving piece from the 17th century Baroque period. It tells the tale from the perspective of three male singers who take pity on the tragedy of a young girl who lost her love and now her mind.
