1867 Milton Bradley Co. - “Zoetrope Series No. 1“ (12 early animations)
More than 30 years after William Horner published his ivention the Daedalum in 1834, one William F. Lincoln managed to patent it as the Zoetrope for the USA in 1867. He assigned the production to Milton Bradley Co. (. the MB game company, now famous for Twister and Yahtzee), who consequently got the UK patent.
Zoetrope Pictures series no. 1 contained 6 double-sided strips containing 13 or 12 images per sequence. The strips with 12 images seem to make the animation move across the zoetrope drum, while
