This song was inspired by my grandmother, that I used to call “Babi“, and later on “Babylon“, “Baba Babylon“ and “Baba Babilonului“ in Romanian. I’m playing my new Doff model 021-7 from St Petersburg, Russia. It has a cedar top, Rosewood back and sides [doesn’t appear to be Indian], maple neck with ebony fingerboard and binding. My tuning is D G C F A# D G. I added a high G by using 25 lb nylon fishing line. I use 20 or 25 lb line depending on the instrument. I feel this tuning is an evolution for the Ru
