Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: Austin, Texas based band the BlueBonnets, began in Los Angeles, California by former Go-Go’s bassist Kathy Valentine and musician and actress Dominique Davalos in the early 1990’s, the band lasted a few years before morphing into the The Delphines a hard hitting rock trio with pop overtones that featured Valentine on guitar and vocals, Davalos on bass and vocals and drummer Kristy McInnis. This line up would later reform the BlueBonnets along with guitar virtuoso Eev Monsees in 2006 once Valentine had returned to Texas. Influenced by Austin’s diverse music scene, The BlueBonnets quickly built a solid following and have become Austin’s premier band and further proof of the cities thriving music scene. With their straight ahead guitar driven blues tinged rock that infuses elements of raw garage and glam rock, the band is far from any contrived or niche style of music and offers a no frills rock show that has earned the band countless accolades both locally and nationwide.
