Abstract Dry Brush Backgrounds for Cards

Showing how to make unique abstract painted backgrounds for handmade cards using watercolor paper, acrylic paint, and a flat brush. It is a very simple technique. I’ll also show you how I used these backgrounds to make several cards. You’ll need several colors of acrylic paint, 1” wide flat paintbrush (flat brush works the best for this; the size of the brush will determine the size of the strokes on your paper, so if you want smaller strokes, use a smaller brush), and watercolor cardstock. Any thick watercolor paper will do. You want something to be able to hold a lot of moisture.
