He was suffering from bipolar disorder and had attempted suicide several times, before finally succeeding with a sleeping-pill overdose. His funeral was held in Møllendal Church Cemetery, Hordaland County, Bergen. It is said that his reason for committing suicide was related to his departure from Immortal, as there was a rumor that Grim was unable to deal with it and became depressed as a result.“ ⚠
