Subscribe to our channel! Over 2,000 demonstrators marched in Brussels on Sunday to demand more urgent action against climate change in the first major demonstration of its kind in Belgium in more than 18 months. Climate activists could be seen carrying banners and wearing animal costumes while marching and chanting. The rally comes in anticipation of the COP26 UN climate summit set to place in Glasgow starting on October 31. SOT, Rudy, Activist (French): “One thing that could help us trees is to avoid chopping us in the tropical forests and even in Belgium and let us do our job. Our job is to bring fresh air, filter air particles and we manage water. Thanks to our roots we retain water, we diminish floods. And when there is no water, we kept in the ground and we can release water when we need it in the summer. Those are some things that are important for the climate and us trees. #COP26 #Climate #Belgium Video ID: 20211010-029 Vid
