Allan Weiner sets up “Radio New York International“ radio station on a Honduran registered ship anchored 4 miles offshore Manhattan (outside the FCC’s jurisdiction and in international waters)and broadcasts free-form Rock & Roll. Station boarded by the Coast Guard after 5 days and shut down. Weiner and DJ Ivan Jeffries are arrested and charged by FCC of operating a radio station on unauthorized frequencies without a license.
