Living History at the Archeological Park of Carnuntum (Austria)

In a world that is digitalized in many areas, the disciplines of archaeology and history must also constantly reinvent themselves and break new ground. Complicated scientific contexts, the results of excavations and the resulting reconstructions of earlier living environments must be communicated and made tangible for all generations. This is also an elementary component of the “Living Danube Limes Project“ within which the communication of excavations, archaeological and generally scientific working methods is to be made visible to a broad public along all Danube states. In this film, our project partners from the Archaeological Park of Petronell-Carnuntum and Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Archaeological Prospection and Virtual Archaeology (LBI ArchPro) in Austria show how such a project can look like and how it can be implemented in an impressive way.
