AKS Danish Police Special Intervention Unit Training [EN SUB]

Short video giving a rare insight into the Danish Police Special Intervention Unit on its 50 years anniversary. The Special Intervention Unit (Aktionsstyrken (AKS) - litterally the “Action Force“) is Denmark’s elite anti-terror unit. The unit works closely with the Danish Defence, both for helicopter operations and with the Frogman- and Jaeger Corps. The military special forces often train with the Special Intervention Unit, and have been used together in larger police operations where the soldiers also wear police uniforms. The Special Intervention Unit works particularly closely with the Frogman Corps, since they are based relatively closely together on Zealand, while the Jaeger Corps is further away in Northern Jutland. The Special Intervention Unit can be distinguished by its solid green uniforms and yellow police patches. The lower level police tactical units (Reaction Patrols) wear dark blue uniforms with yellow police patches, while the military units wear Multicam. Published by DR in 2023
