Pro-Castro demonstration took place in East Berlin and Miami. A mass demonstration took place outside American Embassy in Moscow, led by Russian youths. President Kennedy speaks about Cuba, refers to the Bay of Pigs invasion, and says that it must never come under Russian rule. (Comb. F.G.) Note: Kennedy is addressing American newspaper editors to declare US policy. He denies that the Cuban rebels were mercenaries and promises not to abandon Cuba to the communists.
