Solo Oud performing: ’Sheydayi & Dashtestani’

’Astan-e Janan’ is one of the master works in Persian Dastgah music, by MohammadReza Shajarian and Parviz Meshkatian. The final piece of the album is a composition of Meshkatian’s, a Tasnif titled: ’Sheydayi’ and just before the Tasnif, there is a non-metered Avaz in ’Dashtestani’. This Oud solo has taken melodies from that ’Dashtestani’ in its free-rhythm part and then comes an instrumental performance of ’Sheydayi’; hence tiltled: ’Sheydayi & Dashtestani’.
