This double CD compilation spans across 20th century to feature the most prominent Georgian tenors from that period. Starting with the recordings Vano Sarajishvili, widely regarded as the first ever famous Georgian opera singer, finishing with performers still active today, these two discs provide invaluable insight into the timeline of formation and development of the tenor tradition in Georgia. Many of those presented here have been the leading voices of Tbilisi Opera & Ballet Theatre in various times. This is CD 1 of the compilation.
