On July 19, Russia launched a missile barrage on the Ukrainian port city of Odesa. Out of the 38 projectiles which included cruise missiles and Iranian-made Shahed drones, Ukraine was able to destroy 19. However, it wasn’t able to down the supersonic P-800 Oniks missile. The spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force later admitted that it was impossible for the war-torn nation to intercept the missile due to its speed. The P-800 Oniks is a BrahMos variant.
