I’m pleased to share a special performance with you: Chopin’s Waltz in C-sharp minor, Op. 64 No. 2. This recording, from one of my last concerts, is played on a beautifully restored antique Rönisch piano, whose rich history complements the nostalgic essence of this waltz.
This piece is particularly meaningful to me, as my mother used to play it for me when I was small. It was one of my first encounters with Chopin’s music.
Thank you for listening. I hope you feel the sentimental yet noble warmth of this piece.
