Rose Marionette

This marionette was built in 1942-3 by Rufus and Margo Rose for the production, “The Mouse In Noah’s Ark“. In 1961, the Rose’s home caught fire, and many puppets were destroyed. This marionette lost part of her right leg, her controller and strings. It was given to John Miller for his collection. The leg and controller have been restored, following directions given by Jim Rose and Fred Thompson at the O’Neil Puppetry Conference. Phillip Huber manipulates the figure in this video.
