Description: You, Phil Ross, a local lawyer has been asked by your boss Tom Churchill, to try to prove his best friend’s (Jim Rourke) innocence for the murder that has been committed. Jim Rourke: Your eyes start to open slowly and at first you are not sure where you are. You feel cold and you can smell a strong smell of booze around you. As you adjust your eyes opening, you can now work out that you are in an alley way, but it doesn’t look familiar. You begin to stand up but as you do you notice you have a gun near your hand, you look around and you can see a leg protruding from a rubbish pile opposite you. “POLICE, DO NOT MOVE. DROP THE WEAPON AND DROP TO YOUR KNEES. HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD. “, shouts an armed response police officer. Before you know it, you are handcuffed and whisked away to a police station where you are held in the custody cell, still in shock and very confused. In an office somewhere in London Phil Ross: As you walk through the doors of the main office, someone calls out your name which you recognise as your boss’s. “Hey Tom, how are you?“, you shout across the room, where some people look up briefly before returning to what they were doing. Tom replies looking rather out of sorts, “Phil, come into my office now!“. As you close the door, Tom says “Phil, you know my friend Jim O’Rourke, my best friend“, you nod.“ Tom continues, “He’s been arrested for the murder of Pete Jones, the casino owner, he’s nasty piece of work. He has so many enemies that you could arrest the whole town on suspicion of murder. He didn’t kill him, I just know it, I’ve got to help him, which is where I need your help.“ You reply, “Of course I will help just tell me what you want me to do?“. Tom gives you a file marked ’Jim Rourke’. He then says to you “It’s all in there, just be careful as Pete Jones has people everywhere. We need to get the evidence of his innocence before Friday 1pm or it’s life for Jim, and he won’t last long behind bars!“. With that you leave the office and head back home.
