Gordie Howe Bridge - Once connected it officially becomes a International Crossing.

#construction #detroit #canada #megaprojects Welcome back to another video of the Gordie Howe International Bridge. The bridge is almost connected with just a few weeks to go before connection!! Once the bridge deck is connected this will officially become a International Border Crossing with border officials on watch 24/7. Bridge workers will have to go through security checkpoints as any of us would with our passports. Once final pieces arrive bridge workers will shift the Canadian side of the bridge about 6 inches then start attaching the mid-span closure. I will do my best to get as much good footage as possible during this time. I have been getting a lot of requests for footage that is closer to the work being done but I have to operate in a very safe way. There are hundreds of workers on that bridge deck working very dangerous jobs as it is, the last thing they need is a drone in their face. One of my goals is to always to get the best footage I can but above that is the safety of the workers. I always stay at a safe distance where they do not even know I am there.
