Dr. Ungar on Pain Medication

Dr. Ungar takes the opportunity to tell you about what you can expect at Neurology and Pain Management in Merrillville, Lafayette, and Rensselaer, Indiana. While we cannot completely fix conditions or make the pain go away totally, we utilize a few different methods to make the pain manageable. We use a combination of therapy, medication and injection work. At Neurology and Pain Management, we do prescribe opioids in some cases. Due to the fact that these are narcotics, there are special regulations set on the prescribing of them. These may include urine testing, disclosure of other physicians, and a signed agreement.
