515a Bank Storage Vault [Guild] - version A (real MT-32) Might & Magic V:Darkside of Xeen Music OST

or (support the composers to receive downloadable version of the soundtrack via purchase or donation) FULL PLAYLIST: 515a - Bank Storage Vault [Guild] (real MT-32 version) From the full and complete soundtrack OST to Might and Magic V(5): World of Xeen: Darkside of Xeen (and Swords of Xeen) (マイト・アンド・マジックV) GAME FILE: bank (midi, game Mac), guild (game PC) Date Composed: 1993-02-12, 1993-09-27(9801), 1993-11-25(9821), 1994-02-14(FMT) Composed by Tim Tully & Greg Alper ©1993 (NOTE: Commentary has been written for the MT-32 version, and may not apply to all versions of the soundtrack.) Although originally composed for every bank on the Darkside of Xeen, in final PC version the file was retitled and used in every guild. However, this cue retains its original intended location in the MAC version. A note in the original midi file reads, “fanfare“. The game version (B) replaces the original version’s “Harmo Pad“ with “Harpsichord“. The PC game version alone omits the opening note. (This is so minor, that I did not feel that it warranted the inclusion of a separate game version for the MT-32 version. But the FM and SC-55 soundtracks are the missing note version.) * * * * * The music from this game, having originally been composed using the Roland MT-32, has been recorded directly from an authentic MT-32. Due to the hardware limitations of the MT-32 causing polyphony problems, each channel has been recorded independently and then merged into a single track. Therefore, no notation data is lost through polyphony limitations and the tracks may finally be heard as intended. It also must be noted, that due to a programming error in the final game’s .M music format, the notation of every single song in the final game has been lowered by 2 semitones. The FM and SC-55 Canvas versions (having been made from the original MT-32 versions, and the FM version being unable to be altered) have retained this 2 semitone lowering (with an exception of the Main Opening Themes in the SC-55 version, since unique Sound Canvas versions were composed for these by Tully’s team), while all of the MT-32 versions play at their original tone as composed even though they would be lowered by two semitones in the final game.
