Donato Masci speaks at LLB 2018 on Studio Design and Multichannel Audio

About Donato Masci: Born in 1981, acoustic designer and consultant, Donato Masci graduated in Physics at the University of Florence with a thesis on Acoustics, and specialized at the University of Ferrara. He began his career alongside Fabrizio Giovannozzi who gave him Studio Sound Service full responsibilities from 2008. In 2010 he became general partner of the company where he still works alongside other professionals and students from the University of Florence. So far he has personally designed more than 100 recording and audio-video (post)production studios and he worked with different teams for the design of churches, theaters, auditoriums, conference rooms, home theaters. He has ongoing collaborations with Genelec and Dolby for 3D audio systems and he is a consultant to B&C Speakers, Powersoft and K-Array for their product’s R&D; Donato Masci holds lectures and seminars for UE professional training courses, for the Master in Multimedia Content Design organized by University of Florence and RAI. He collaborates with leading Professional Training Centres for music and sound-engineering (Percorsi Audio, Siena Jazz, MusicLab, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Conservatori di Firenze e Lecce, AudioForum Connessioni). He acted as speaker for many . Italy (Audio Engineering Society) conferences and was assistant supervisor and consultant for many engineering and scientific thesis. He also wrote many technical articles for the British magazine Resolution, leader in professional audio.
