French Foreign Legion - tribute

My father, Ferenc Racz, was in the French Foreign Legion from 1945, serving in Oran as well as in ’Indo-China’. Many of his comrades died, and he was shot several times, and knifed, plus retained grenade fragments in various parts of his body from a few close blasts. He was a Legionnaire till he died.
