“In Memoriam Paul Badura-Skoda” Maestro Badura-Skoda played for me heavenly beautiful Impromptu in G-flat by Schubert at our very first meeting. After that day, I started working with him until his passing. 10 years of study under the tutelage of Badura-Skoda was most special and precious experience as you can imagine. Maestro passed away on September 25th, 2019. On that day, I was giving a recital with the program including Schubert’s Impromptus in Tokyo. I learned of his death after my concert, but I somehow felt different during my and warm believe he was with me then... Lieber Paul, Thank you.
