Uganda (1961)

Various shots of women of the Acholi tribe as they dance the Dingi-dinga; a wedding tribal dance that wards off unhappiness. They wear ra-ra skirts and bra-tops, have bells on their ankles and feathers sticking out from their headbands. A boat called The Murchison is seen travelling along the River Nile with numerous tourists sitting on the roof; they look through binoculars and take photographs of animals seen along the way; hippos (nice footage of a mother hippo with a baby) wallowing in the water; crocodiles lying on a sand bank with mouths wide open. Lovely shots of a man (Caucasian) fishing by the river; a waterfall, the Murchiston / Murchison Falls, is seen in the background. M/S of a line of people making their way to the falls by a dusty path by the river; several shots of the falls; they look quite fierce. M/Ss of a car crossing the Uganda Equator line as it travels along a road. M/S of a Land Rover driving through the Queen Elizabeth National Park; it passes a sign reading ’Elephant [sic]
