Snana Purnima Maha Abhiseka - Radhe Kunj 28 June 2018

Today the devotees of Bhaktabandhav Vrindavan celebrated Snana Purnima, the appearance of Lord Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra with a maha-abhiseka, bathing ceremony of the main deities Sri Sri Radha Krsna, Lalita-Visakha, Panca-tattva, Lord Jagannatha and His Siblings, Giriraja, Salagram, along with life-size murtis of Srila Gurudeva, Srila Vamana Gosvami Maharaja, Param Gurudeva, and Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Prabhupada, in Sri Radhe Kunj. Waters were brought from the holy tirthas, holy rivers, and kundas of Vraja-mandala for the maha-abhiseka, and were offered in 108 pots. Beginning after mangala-arati, the bathing ceremony was complete at 10:30 a.m. Next, while the devotees were cleaning the temple and pujaris were dressing the Deities, a fire yajna was arranged and began. In the meantime, since early morning, a huge feast for hundreds of devotees and guests was prepared. In the afternoon, over five hundred devotees honored prasada. Evening kirtan, classes, and ecstatic arati and dancing and singing in kirtan continued into the night, at 11 p.m. Jaya Jagannatha! Jaya Baladeva! Jaya Subhadra! Jaya Jaya Sri Radhe!
