She was introduced to the dance community in 2004 when she joined Future Shock San Diego under the direction Belle Abuyo and Rainen Paguio. Dea furthered her training with NYR, Funkanometry SD, and Lando Wilkins’ first project, Boxcutters School of Assassins. In 2007, she was privileged to join Super Galactic Beat Manipulators. Most recently, in 2008, Dea was blessed with the opportunity to join Choreo Cookies under the direction of Emmett Agapay, Jeff Morales, Kristen Aguinaldo, and Keone Madrid. Since then, Dea has performed and competed with Choreo Cookies in many various competitions and shows. As Dea continues to grow as a dancer, she hopes to inspire others as she explores her own style.
