Anna Pavlova - Two Tiny Snippets: Embracing ‘Jack’ and ’Les Sylphides’

This is a seriously snippit-ish snippet of Anna Pavlova in the garden of her home Ivy House in Golders Green outside London. The ballerina is first seen embracing her favourite swan, Jack, at the lake side. We then have Pavlova executing a few steps of Mikhail Fokine’s ’Les Sylphides’. The costume in both snippets is consistent with those in various photographs of the ballerina in this role, and the poster for the Ballets Russes Paris season of 1909.
