Air-Mindedness! (1932)

Germany. Introductory intertitle reads: “The boys of Germany are living in a state of air-mindedness today - Out of school they stream to their model flying grounds - “ Good high angle shot of a large group of German schoolboys running along holding toy aeroplanes above their heads. They are all shouting as they run along. Low angle shot of the boys running towards the camera with their ’planes. M/S of the boys scampering across a hillside throwing their ’planes in the air. Low angle shot of a teacher (?) launching one of the planes. Various shots of the planes flying through the sky - some of them go quite a long way. “Gliding, too, is progressing in leaps - and glides - (and sometimes bumps).“ C/U of the front of a glider on the ground. The name “Eckhardt“ is painted on the side of the aircraft - the paint has run. The pilot lifts a young child (wearing a little sailor suit) into the cockpit. The boy sits in with the man - probably his father. L/S of group of men pulling the glider
