Billboard Adult Alternative Airplay Top 40 | Triple A | AAA (September 28th, 2024)
Adult Alternative Airplay (also known as Triple A or Triple A Airplay) is a Billboard chart ranking the most popular songs on adult album alternative radio stations. The chart, which tracks the top 40 songs, is based on weekly radio spins measured by Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems. It originally appeared in Airplay Monitor starting January 20, 1996, and transitioned to Billboard on July 5, 2008, after the closure of Radio & Records. The chart’s reporting panel expanded in February 2014 to include 32 stations. Billboard’s official chart archive now reflects the history of the chart from 1996, with “The World I Know“ by Collective Soul as the first number-one song.
