Tom Benz (here you can find all my social media links and some more interesting stuff) Born and grown up germany, I was very early related to traditional american country music as well to american bluegrass and folk/indie folk. Most influenced by artists like Hank Williams and many others of this particular genre. Johnny Cash of course as well. When it comes to Irish folk most impressive to me where The Pogues and later such traditional bands like The Dubliners and likewise many others. I started playing guitar/dobro guitar as well. Sometimes you can hear spoons or a harmonica/harp. But my passion is playing the double bass, writing lyrics and singing – as a proud member of Them Damned Ol´Hillbillies or in other projects with dear friends!
