REFEED: Putin and Erdogan virtually attend inauguration ceremony of Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan take part in the inauguration ceremony for the third reactor of Turkey’s first nuclear power plant via videoconference on Wednesday, March 10. The two countries agreed on the project in May 2010. Construction of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant started in 2018 and is being conducted by the Russian State Atomiс Energy Corporation (ROSATOM). Four power units with a total capacity of 4800 megawatts are planned to be put into operation. NOTE: Arabic translation will be provided only for Putin and Erdogan speeches.
