Rim-Blown Pueblo Flutes using oblique ney technique

This is a video showing another technique that can be used for Pueblo- style rim-blown flutes. This may have a technique that was used for the Ancient flutes that have been found in the Southwest. This technique can be used for narrow bores with flat rims and makes sense that this could have a way to play these types of flutes. Using another technique like that of a shakuhachi requires a more concentrated airflow which makes it harder to blown down a narrow bore as opposed to a wider one. The rim does not have to be sharp. It only needs to have a slight angle to it. This technique does work well with wider bore flutes as well.
