Ultra-Rare 1990 Honda RC30 Road Test - Cycle News

There are very few motorcycles as important to the history of the Honda Motor Company than the VFR750R, the machine commonly referred to as the RC30. This is the first true racer-with-lights that was available to the public at the end of the 1980s. A true racer built by a specialist team of technicians at the Honda Racing Corporation, the RC30 won the first two World Superbike Championships with Fred Merkel at the helm, as well as countless national race wins and title across the globe, including utter dominance at the Isle of Man TT. We have been incredibly lucky to be thrown the keys to this 1990 edition, resplendent in a Joey Dunlop tribute Rothmans Honda color scheme, for a couple of weeks. And what a bike this is! Check out the video for a brief history lesson, as well as an onboard ride through Southern California. Please give us a like/comment/share/subscribe if you like this video. We had a lot of fun making it! Timestamp 0:00 0:37 RC30 history 2:51 RC30 arrives 06:
