وزير خارجية روسيا: قتل نصر الله جريمة سياسية جديدة

عقب القصف الإسرائيلي لمنطقة مكتظة بالسكان في بيروت الذي أسفر عن مقتل زعيم حزب الله حسن نصر الله ومئات المدنيين، انتقد وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرجي لافروف الدعم الأميركي للضربة. و قارن لافروف هذا الحدث بأفعال أميركية سابقة، واصفاً إياه بأنه مثال آخر على تجاهل الولايات المتحدة للخسائر البشرية للصراعات التي تدعمها، تماماً مثل رد فعل هيلاري كلينتون على مقتل القذافي و دفاع مادلين أولبرايت عن الخسائر في العراق. Following Israel’s bombing of a densely populated district in Beirut that resulted in the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah and hundreds of civilians, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov criticized U.S. support for the strike. Lavrov compared this event to past American actions, calling it another example of the U.S. ignoring the human cost of conflicts it supports, much like Hillary Clinton’s reaction to Gaddafi’s death and Madeleine Albright’s defense of Iraq casualties.
