Lancaster’s OLD ORDER AMISH Tedding the Last of the ALFALFA For the County, PA

The middle part of September usually means the last cutting of alfalfa has been done or is near to being done. Here we watch a a tedder fluffing the alfalfa to help it dry out to get ready for baling. As the days get shorter and the sun less strong it takes longer for hay to be ready for baling. Here we watch an Amishman ted the alfalfa in his field and then hand the reins off to the younger folk.
