The Story of the 2014 Polka and Waltz:
Our polka begins with a solo to an excerpt from Kinderspiele (Children’s Games), op. 304, by Johann Strauss II. Taking inspiration from the Opening quadrilles of decades past, this solo, adapted from authentic 19th century schottische quadrille figures, evokes a festive winter atmosphere.
