The brand new Node-based Terrain Generation tool for Blender! Fully procedural Fully Nodes Fully Non-Destructive NodeScapes! This video was rendered in Real-Time, using screen-capture to record the majority of this promo video. It was captured at 1440p 60fps, using a Sub-Division level of 100, with a mesh size of 3x3 which gives a total poly count of 90,000 quads. Around the 2 minute mark, This was upped to 350 Sub-Division levels, and 24 seconds of the Video was cut (to save viewing time). This gave a total of 1,102,500 final polygons that were rendered. For full discretion, we advise a subD level of around 64 for full realtime usability, and then advise that when you are finished with modelling, to save your preset in the custom UI, and then increase your resolution for final rendering. If you’re unhappy with the generated terrain, you can then reload your preset, and continue working on it as it’s a non-destructive workflow.
