Canadian ‘stupidity’ on display with Nazi mistakenly honoured in parliament

Sky News host James Macpherson says Canadian “stupidity” was on display when their parliament accidentally honoured a former Nazi Waffen SS soldier. Canada’s House Speaker Anthony Rota announced his resignation after praising Ukrainian veteran Yaroslav Hunka for fighting against Russia in World War II. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau claimed the mistake was due to Russian disinformation and propaganda. “You can rely on the Canadians to double down on bad,” Mr Macpherson said. “So first they applaud a Nazi, and then they blame the Russians, and then they try to have the whole thing deleted from history. “Just the way they had World War II deleted from history when they rose to applaud a guy for fighting against the Russians.”
