Lola B05/52 Auto GP ’Evo’ Cars in action: Zytek V8 Engine Sound & Crazy Off-Throttle Crackles!

This video is about some Auto GP formula cars I recorded during two rounds of the BOSS GP (Big Open Single Seaters) championship, in particular Monza’s round in 2016 and the one at Imola Circuit from last year. The story behind Auto GP championship is kinda articulated so I leave you the concise summary from Wikipedia: Auto GP cars were the Lola B05/52s used until the 2007-2008 season by the A1 GP Championship (where for the 2008-2009 season the new cars were based on the Ferrari F2004 chassis and Ferrari-powered with their V8). The Lolas you see in this video are with the upgraded aerodynamic kit they developed in 2012 and introduced on all cars in 2013. Thanks to these updates, 2013 Lolas were 2 seconds faster than the ’original’ ones. The engine was a Zytek (rebranded in Gibson from 2016) ZA1348 V8 engine able to produce 550 bhp and 442 Nm of torque with a weight of 615 kg (without driver and fuel). Popcorn is ready!
