Polson officer arrested for sexual abuse of children

A Polson Police Department officer was arrested Wednesday for a charge of sexual abuse of children, according to the Polson Police Department. The Lake County Sheriff’s Office took Officer Matthew Timm into custody. The Polson Police Department says it cooperated with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and the Montana Department of Justice leading up to the arrest, and will continue to do so throughout the investigation. The Polson Police Department reports an ongoing internal employment investigation.
