Boeing ecoDemonstrator Visits NASA Langley

NASA Langley researchers have conducted three research projects on the plane: the just-completed tests of non-stick coatings formulated to reduce bug guts from sticking to aircraft wings; tiny devices installed on an aircraft’s vertical tail to control the flow of air on demand, thereby allowing for smaller tails; and computer software that can more precisely space aircraft in our national airspace, improving flight efficiency and reducing environmental impacts of aircraft.
