🌎 LIVE: Iceland Volcano in Geldingadalir

This is a live feed from the site of the Geldingadalir volcano located in Fagradalsfjall on the Reykjanes Peninsula. The glow and occasional lava fountains from the volcano were seen from the outskirts of Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital, just 32km (20 miles) north of the eruption until September 2021. The lava field has been officially named Fagradalshraun by the Icelanders of the nearby town Grindavík. AfarTV has been streaming this eruption since it started in late March 2021. After being dormant for almost 6,000 years, the eruption of the Geldingadalir volcano started on March 19, 2021. According to the Institute of Earth Sciences in Iceland, the eruption can be divided into four periods: ------ 1 ------ The first period lasted for about two weeks and was characterized by a fairly steady lava flow, averaging about 6 m3 / s. ------ 2 ------ The second period, which also lasted two weeks, was characterized by the opening of new eruptions north of the original craters.
