Pontiac offered the Grand Prix during the 70s as a smooth riding car that came loaded with luxury features, a large power plant (typically), and a spacious interior. The Grand Prix also had multiple trim levels offered which were base, LJ, and SJ. The SJ’s were the fully loaded cars as they came with leather bucket seats over the bench and a floor mounted shifter in the console. The Pontiac SJ package also came with the optional 6.6 liter V8 under the hood which was bolted to a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission making for a torque filled smooth shifting ride. The cars appearance is set off by a two-tone silver and grey exterior and contrasted nicely with a black interior giving this Grand Prix the genuine look of luxury on wheels. The Pontiac also comes loaded with features like power brakes, power steering, power windows, air conditioning, and cruise control solidifying the claim of this being a luxury cruiser of its time. This is by far one of the nicest classic Grand Prix’s out there so it would be a shame to let this documented one owner car get away!
