In this video I make an oil study of John Singer Sargent’s painting Fishing for Oysters at Cancale, 1878. I used Canson paper measuring 14 inches. Colors used: Titanium white, Cad Yellow light, Yellow ochre, Cad red light, Alizarin crimson, Raw umber, Ivory black, Cobalt blue and Pthalo turquoise. Linseed oil was my only medium.
